What if being unrealistic is actually being as realistic as one can be? If nothing ever stays the same and the same is what we count on, then aren’t we bound to be devastated by change? However, if we remain in a flowing state of flux, knowing that is the case and letting life ebb, then change is as natural as day turning to night.

April 27th, 2010 .One of our friends is producing a heart felt reality television show about children who are ill and Nippe and I have been working on the opening jingle. This is just one of the many drafts. Our friend Shawn Snyder is singing.
Thoughts?

April 26th, 2010 .I like to look forward to events. That used to mean that I wasn’t so good at living in the moment. Now, after years of being in transit, I think I have living in the moment covered finally. Now, back to looking forward to events. I like to know that they are coming and think about how it all will play out and imagine the fun that will be had. I like to envision the surroundings, the lighting, smell the smells and have conversations in my head with people I want to see and feel how the moments will hang in the air.
There is something about anticipation that is oh-so-glorious. If it is done with only positive thoughts and great intentions then good things always come from it.
These events can be small moments in the day: cooking a feast, a good glass of wine, that giddy feeling crawling into bed at the end of the day with someone you love. Or, they can be bigger milestones: birthdays, trips, holidays, shows, projects, reunions, no-reason at all parties.
So I have this deal with myself that goes like this- “only make to do lists that you can finish in a day (of course there are longer ones, but they are not on a ‘to do’ list, they are on an ‘eventually’ list,) think of something new to look forward to each and every day and take the time to take the time.” It’s working- Living in the moment, looking forward to life. Check.
Let’s take a walk around Malmö…

April 21st, 2010 .“Oh boy, spreading the joy!”
April 15th, 2010 .The reading and party for Let There Be Balloons in Malmö was a great success. We received some really solid, positive feedback, found out that we got the grant that I wrote to do a full production of the show in Lauderdale next January and had one heck of a party. I think this photo of Lykke (her name means “Luck” in English- so cute) passed out while there is a Swedish folk dance party happening in the living room pretty much explains it all.
A Warning
April 8th, 2010 .Rewrites with a side of rewrites
April 7th, 2010 .We are working like crazy on Let There Be Balloons all week. Our friend, Rick, flew over from the States to join the four of us (Margie, Mats, Nippe and me) who are already here. This weekend, in Malmö, Sweden, we will have a reading in a small theatre here, using many professionals. It is super exciting to watch the piece change and grow and become something more beautiful. But, more than that, it is amazing to have people come together, working on a like cause, peacefully, joyfully, with intention and with 250% dedication. I’ve been blessed to be part of a group like that many times in my life, but it still blows my mind.
Onward…
