I flew to New York last Thursday to spend the weekend with friends and to see Nathan and Chris’ show. Right off the bat, the weekend got off to an amazing start when Katy Hawley (of “Katy Hawley’s Birthday”) took me for mani/pedis. Why, you ask? Why not.

We made the trip downtown to pick up waaaay too many of the incredibly delicious “Magnolia Bakery” cupcakes. I can still feel the buttercream and lard pulsing through my system, but assure you it was worth it.

Peace rally that stretched for blocks and blocks. Do you see that crazy cut out that the second person from the left is holding? Yeah. Whoa.

I think that I personally may be in possession of at least 10 other years worth of pictures of Katy and Nathan having conversations just like this.

Milbert.

When you haven’t seen your pal in almost 2 years, the best thing to do is try to force your nuts on them.

I love this picture. Nathan is telling Jamie some fantastic story and Miller is playing the devil on her shoulder. Typical.

If you leave your camera at the bar, boob pictures are a free for all. If you take boob pictures with my camera, I will put them on my blog.

Gilbert and Milbert reunited at last.

Some one’s tonsils- my bets are on Nathan. I did witness him getting scolded earlier in the evening for biting some one’s camera.

Umm…we’re not leaving.
This whole night took place after we saw “Fugitive Songs.” It was such a fantastic night all together. Of course, the show was wonderful, but I am also totally biased. Seeing someone you care about do something that they love…well, there is nothing like that. And, yeah, the show really was good.

Jamie, Katy and I had a girlie Easter Sunday in Kates apartment. The Easter bunny did come, but he only left weird foreign candy and candles. I guess that was so you could torch the sweets if you didn’t like them.

Do you see what a healthy Easter breakfast we had? Mmm…diet pepsi for breakfast is FINE!

Whoever said that we are not traditional girls? Yeah. Proof.
The other important thing to do on Easter, to be traditional, is to have a beer sampling.

Ahh, yes. The heartland, indeed…..
…but first, back here…
